Daily exercise classes are available in our activity room. Residents gather for low impact exercise routines that utilize stretches and weights to help limber up joints and help keep residents healthy. Most exercise classes are lead by the activity coordinator but we also have the ability to use DVDs for a variety of classes. Several residents also lead class occasionally.
We regularly plan extra special activities that include: socials, ice cream buffets, and regular musical entertainment. Local talent including a country singer, crooners, flautist, choirs and comedians visit for exciting activities and entertainment.
Our activities aren’t confined to inside the walls. We regularly plan field trips to the museum, zoo, theater, and library. Field trips vary and we welcome input from residents on what types of activities or events they would enjoy.
Games and Crafts
Residents regularly play games such as bingo, cards, and dominos. Crafts are also enjoyed by a good majority our residents. Recently, we’ve created pillows for mastectomy patients in the shape of hearts and scarves for those who have lost their hair due to cancer.
These activities, and many others, are a great time for residents to enjoy the friendships they have built here and bless others in the community.
Weekly non-denominational Church services are available on Sunday mornings at 8:45. Weekly Bible studies led by a minister and a former women’s inspiration speaker are also available.
This is your home so the activities and events that go on should be what you enjoy. We regularly encourage input on what activities, events, field trips, and even food you enjoy.
